On 12-13 May, 2012 training of Georgian young politicians on democratic values in party activities and practicing democracy in political life as well as on the importance of multiparty democracy was carried out in Sighnaghi, Georgia. Representatives from the following parties participated in the training:
• The United National Movement;
• The Christian Democratic Movement;
• The National Forum Party;
• The Republican Party of Georgia;
• The National Democratic Party;
• Industry will Save Georgia;
Intensive two day training with a special focus on inner party democracy helped young politicians to deepen their knowledge in Democracy and pluralism through the effective training methodology: to know, to be and to do. Participants not only gained new knowledge, but were also sensitized towards many issues on democracy itself.
At the end of the training the participants signed a code of conduct that defines their behavior and ethical standards during meetings with school pupils in different public schools of Georgia. Young politicians from the previous year were awarded by certificates of appreciation for their consistent support to the project.
