Training of Teachers on Leadership and Cooperation Skills-Georgia

On 23-29 August, 2012 training of civic education teachers from different minority and rural areas of Georgia were involved in set of trainings on leadership and cooperation skills.  In overall 60 teachers participated in the training. Training took place in two rounds. First round was carried out for teachers from west Georgia in Anaklia and second round for teachers for east Georgia at Lopota.  Applied methodology was to support better introduction to students of the topics of the school curriculum, with application of contemporary interactive methods.

This methodology suggested an alternative to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for the democratic values the students should carry. The teachers once again reflected on the democratic values, principles and standards and had had the opportunity to practice those values and principles through interactive exercises full of challenging situations.
