Achievments and prospects: Summing Up 1, 8 m EURO Project on Civic Education

On 16 April, 2013 the EU co-funded project “Democracy Starts with You!“ will hold a final conference at Radisson Blu Iveria. Project organisers from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia will evaluate and sum up project achievements and outcomes.

“Democracy starts with you!” is launching a call for positions of “South Caucasus Youth Parliament President” and “South Caucasus Youth Parliament Deputy Presidents”. The President and Deputies will be elected from 3 countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Parliament will have President (Speaker) and two Deputies.

On 13-17 August 2012, 40 representatives of different schools from minority and rural areas of Azerbaijan came together in a South Caucasus Youth Parliament as elected delegates in order to vote joint declaration.

Simulation Games in 20 Armenian Schools

Second round of Democracy simulation games on political participation, representation and decision making was carried out in Armenia in October- December 2011.  600 pupils were engaged in civic participation simulations at 20 Armenian schools.

INTRANET Service Launched for Civic Education Teachers

In August 2011, project “Democracy Starts With You!” launched the INTRANET service for the teachers participating in the project. The INTRANET will ensure constant networking of the teachers involved in the project. They can upload/download and share useful information such as:
